Howard Smith remains my dear and cherished colleague, both in my memory and in perpetuity as writing partners in scholarly publications, produced as collaborations between two deeply committed physicians who took their vows of service to individual and public health to heart.
May he rest in peace and thank you, Jeff, for setting this up for Dr. In sum, Howie was a deeply thoughtful and smart man, who will be missed by his patients, friends and trainees.
